Rechargeable Area is a zone that forms a transition between the street level and the facades of the physical construction of the NDSM shipyard; this area has been developed and completed on the basis of flexibility, mobility and change. An area in which to ‘retreat and discover’ are the most important elements. The content consists of mobile green (trees and gardens) and containers that are besides storage also exhibition spaces for changing exhibitions. Behind the round windows of these containers I exhibited plaster copys of my bronzes. The white color of the plaster created a total different atmosphere. They were watching YOU from behind the window!
